General Assemblies
What are GA’s?
General Assemblies are SciMUNC’s largest committees, featuring 42 delegates. Designed to simulate existing UN bodies, General Assemblies replicate the processes foundational to international diplomacy.
Meet your Director!
Hello everyone! My name is Alma Arazi and I am so excited to be SciMUNC’s USG of General Assemblies this year. I have been a member of the Bronx Science model UN team since my freshman year, and have found MUN to be an incredibly rewarding and worthwhile experience. When not in committee, I also serve on Bronx Science’s Judicial Board and Senior Council, and also work as a student researcher in labs at Weill Cornell and Columbia. I can’t wait to see what you all have to bring to the table at SciMUNC XVII!
GAs at SciMUNC
General Assemblies at SciMUNC XVII span topics from water privatization to international debt, all aiming to solve the world's most pressing issues by means of collaboration and creative solutions. At SciMUNC, delegates will take on the role of representatives to member nations of the UN, participating in active discourse, critical thinking, and leadership. Working toward resolutions to the social, economic, and security issues that plague our world today, we hope for SciMUNC’s General Assemblies to provide platforms for the voices of tomorrow.
