The Real Model UN
A video by employees in the different fields on United Nations work, that brought their briefing to Bronx Science in 2019. Several of our students gave a testimonial. We encourage all persons in their fields to consider what their field of education can contribute to the geo-political landscape.
What is SciMUNC?
SciMUNC, The Bronx Science Model United Nations Conference, is held annually at The Bronx High School of Science in New York City. Our conference prides itself on being a well-developed learning conference for novice and intermediate/advanced delegates. Our staff, made up of our entire advanced team and volunteers from the Bronx Science National Honors Society, start planning in the Spring before the conference and work hard throughout the summer and fall to keep the conference modern and exciting for the hundreds of delegates attending.

The SciMUNC conference prides itself on keeping topics rooted in current events. Through this, we hope to see the creativity of our youth and their fresh new perspectives on issues affecting our world.
Accessible
ENtertaining all experience levels
For many, the SciMUNC conference is a first experience to Model UN. For others, it's the continuation of a passion. Our conference accommodates both, as our staff has rigorously trained to supervise all levels of experience.
Realistic
Operating as the United Nations would
Our staff is devoted to keeping SciMUNC true to United Nations procedure, thus familiarizing delegates to the atmosphere of delegation in the real world. This includes standard methods of parliamentary protocol and keeping in mind previous United Nations action.
Creative
Looking towards tomorrow's issues
Keeping in mind the effects of history on current events, SciMUNC has several committees which focus on history and how the decisions we made effect us today. For example, alternate history committees view the past and how drastically things could have changed due to certain events. In addition, there are futuristic committees which emphasize how issues of current day can grow and change the future. With this we hope to challenge delegates' ability to be innovative.
