The Committee: Set place in the year 2040, this committee follows the same structure as any crisis committee with a loose timeline that will depend on delegates as they navigate through debates, backroom notes, directives, and more. Crisis is a place to showcase creativity and innovation, with each crisis update bringing unique challenges and each delegate bringing unique perspectives to the table. As delegates, it is your job to swiftly react to abrupt crises and skillfully get a solution in motion with your bestowed powers whilst working with — or against — fellow delegates.

The Topic: In the highly interconnected and tech-dependent state of the world in 2040, where AI integration is encouraged and technological databases and equipment hold information for everyday life, a devastating cyber attack begins to cripple the world with no trace of a perpetrator. Critical infrastructure was destroyed while banking systems, power grids, communications networks, transportation, and other systems of the like were suspended. Chaos quickly consumed the global community. International panic has led to protests towards governments and businesses while the perpetuator remains a mystery. Could there be another attack, and from the same person? What is next to be crippled? It is now up to the leading companies to pick themselves up from the ruin they could potentially fall into, address the cyber war at hand, and unmask the culprit – even if they hide amongst them.
